Kufen-Tanz | Technik meets Zeitgenössisch
Neuer 4er Kursblock im Mai | dienstags 17:30-18:45

Zeitgenössischer Tanz auf dem Eis (Contemporary Skating) bringt zeitgenössischen Tanz und Techniken aus dem Eiskunstlauf zusammen.
Unter professioneller Anleitung erlernen wir die Grundlagen dieser Ausdrucksform. Dabei werden grundlegende Technikelemente aus dem Eiskunstlauf erlernt oder vertieft.
Der Kurs eignet sich für Dich mit oder ohne Bewegungs- und Kufenvorerfahrung. Bei Interesse kann gemeinsam eine Choreografie entwickelt werden.
Der Kurs kann zweisprachig stattfinden.

Dance on skates | technique meets contemporary
New course block in May | tuesdays 17:30-18:45 p.m.

Contemporary dance on ice (contemporary skating) brings together contemporary dance and techniques from figure skating.
Under professional guidance, we learn the basics of this form of expression. Basic technical elements from figure skating will be learned or deepened.
The course is suitable for you with or without previous movement and skating experience. If interested, a choreography can be developed together.
The course can be hold bilingual.

ALTA on Ice - an unique experience in Czech Republic in January 2024.

Thanks to the great support by the team of Studio ALTA this lecture performance by IceLab founder Katja Grohmann was taking place in #prague, opening up the connection of contemporary dance and dance on ice skates/ figure skating to a whole new public. Exciting encounters, lovely hospitality and a gorgious city tram - tour made this trip unforgettable.

Zusammen mit 4fT Tanzplattform, Mandy Unger und das LOFFT laden wir in Kooperation mit Leipzig plus Kultur am 12.4. um 14 Uhr zu einem moderierten Austausch ein.

Wer oder Was ist die freie Tanzszene in Leipzig? Wie können wir mehr Sichtbarkeit und Netzwerk für die Tanzszene Leipzigs schaffen? Was hat es für Vorteile, in Zukunft als ‚eine Stimme‘ aufzutreten und in der Stadt Leipzig die Kulturlandschaft mit zu gestalten?

Zu Gast ist Cindy Hammer (TanzNetzDresden), um ihre Erfahrungen zu Netzwerkarbeit zu teilen.

Who or what is the independent dance scene in Leipzig? How can we create more visibility and a network for Leipzig's dance scene? What are the advantages of acting as 'one voice' in the future and helping to shape the cultural landscape in the city of Leipzig?

ALTA on Ice
Ice as a stage, ice as a theme. For four days in January, we are moving Studio ALTA to a temporary ice rink! The first evening, titled SURFACES, will let the movements of contemporary dance and figure skating mingle and watch how they complement and influence each other. Can you hear it?

Contemporary Skating is the art of connecting Contemporary Dance with ice skates and figure skating knowledge.

Meanwhile the IceLab takes a completely new way to teach technique to beginners, finds a new approach to movement on ice, figures and forms, space and flow.

We feel delighted we had the opportunity at @eiszirkusleipzig to get in touch with 'real ice' this season. 💙

Worum geht es in dem Projekt?
Contemporary Ice Skating ist eine Bewegungs- und Tanzform, die authentischen und künstlerischen Ausdruck auf die Eis-Skates bringt. Sie verbindet die Techniken aus dem klassischen Eiskunstlauf mit dem zeitgenössischen Tanz. Daraus entsteht eine eigene Bewegungssprache. International haben wir die Contemporary Skating Alliance mitgegründet - lokal das IceLab Leipzig.
Seit 2023 gibt es endlich auch einen festen Probenort - das IceLab Studio.
Die erste Etage in der Schönauer Straße 240 in Leipzig Grünau soll mehr und mehr zu einem Reich für Tanz, Kreative und - Contemporary Ice Skating werden. Es gibt drei Räume: einen Tanzsaal, einen Co-Workingbereich und unser Eis-Studio. Diese Probebühne ist aus dem Kunststoffeis Like-Ice. Hier liegt die Brücke zwischen Tanzstudio und Echt-Eis, die gleichzeitig einen Safe Space bietet. Hier kann ohne Publikumsverkehr recherchiert, trainiert und konzeptioniert werden. Im Sommer wie im Winter, wer möchte tags und nachts. Nie konnte Tanz auf Kufen in solch angenehmen Temperaturen und mit so großem Komfort umgesetzt werden - und das nur drei Höhenmeter von der Nahrungsmittelquelle und 500m vom grünen Wald entfernt, zugleich mitten in der Stadt.
Wir bringen Kulturinteressierte in einen Stadtteil, der noch viel zu wenig Kultur sein eigen nennen darf. Der seine eigene Stimme im Gebrummel der Großstadt sucht. Wir mischen uns in den Chor, wollen Begegnungsstätte und Berührungspunkt sein.
